Last weekend, a man who made his mark on Wisconsin music passed after an 18 month battle with colon cancer. Pita Kotobalavu was an incredible musician, joyfully bringing his award winning performances of his Fiji brand of Reggae to stages all across the country. He completely dove into recording my song "Love Is," making it the toe-tapping song of celebration that is it. I am so grateful for his work and his spirit, and will miss his energy, his smile and his energetic showmanship with Unity the Band. Please see below for more on this beautiful soul-

I am sad to share that two other wonderful music friends passed this last weekend: Molly LeCaptain- way too young, talented, bright, could sing your socks off- and Jim Morrison- in the biz forever, always with a kind word and a laugh and a bass riff at the ready- Heaven has gained some crazy music makers. I am so so so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with these people. Music is a bridge. And life is full of unexpected twists. Be kind, and sing like no one is listening. You will spread joy no matter what!
