Hey all!
It is 4:30 pm, and I am looking out the window and I still see daylight, through a beaded veil of water drips from snow melting off the roof. The lengthening of days, the sun being higher in the sky- both are so welcome, aren't they? I love, love, love winter and snow, but I also love the hope that warmer days are on their way!! Very cool, that inevitable turn of the seasons. From "cold and lonely winter wind (Winter Wind)" to "rainbow ribbons stretch(ing) across endless azure skies (Love Is)"... It is interesting for me to recognize how nature plays such a role in my writing! I am immersed in its allure. What can I say?
So what is new in my arena?
1. I am getting ready for a few super fun performing opportunities over the next month. Please come on over if you are in the area!
Friday, January 19 at the Blue Opus: 6-9 pm (1390 Bellevue St, Green Bay, WI)
Friday, February 9 at La Vie Boheme: 8-10-ish pm (421 George St #101, De Pere, WI)
Monday, February 19, featured soloist with the Allouez Village Band at the Meyer Theater: 7 pm (117 South Washington Street, Green Bay, WI)- Big Band hits!
2. I am booking fewer public* performances to focus my attention on a big studio writing and recording project with producer and co-writer Aaron Zinsmeister (White Raven Audio). This project is going to continue develop the vibe of my "Evergreen" EP release -Celtic-folk-symphonic-new age-rock- haha- try that one on for size!! If you aren't sure of the genre, Here is a link to "Winter Wind" for you to experience what we're going for! Winter Wind
3. The * on performances means this: I am only limiting public engagements. I would still love to perform in more intimate settings, sharing my songs, my stories, my oh-so-talented musicians. Often referred to as "house concerts," inviting an artist (like me ?) into your home to perform is a really cool way to entertain friends and enjoy great music up close. This link will take you to more info! House Concerts Let me know if you are interested in booking one and I will see what I can do. Be forewarned: I work with amazing and busy guys, so we often need good leeway to book, especially in the summer!
I have so much more to share- but that is enough for now! It's dark out now. Oh boy, in winter the night falls hard and fast!
Until next time, peace, love and FANTASTIC MUSIC to you all!
