innovative adult contemporary songwriter & artist
“I can’t stop creating music, blending genre, rocking classics and originals. I love to connect worlds, finding the power in our shared emotions and experiences, focusing on what makes each of us unique, but also what makes us one, what makes us feel and what makes us real.” -Rändi
"One should probably like Rändi Fay simply because she is one of the nicest human beings ever, but if you take a few moments to listen, a number of things become apparent: 1) her voice is worthy of her "vocalist of the year" nominations and she sings both standards and her own material in a manner that brings a unique and very listenable quality to every song; 2) she is a gifted and talented lyricist-songwriter whose compositions are both engaging and entertaining; and 3) she is a true pro who prepares, chooses her musicians and her material in service of the performance and her audience. Her life, education and career have positioned her to both entertain and offer valuable insights listeners in settings ranging from intimate venues to corporate events."

Rändi Fay is an award winning songwriter and vocalist from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Her most recent accolades include being named a “Top Five Winner” with “Outstanding Achievement in Songwriting” by the Great American Song Contest for “Supernatural” (March, 2019) and receiving the honor of “Best Music Video” at the Wildwood Film Festival, again for “Supernatural” (also March, 2019). She has been nominated Jazz Artist of the Year five times (2015-2019) by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry. An established torch singer, Rändi’s enchanting, innovative approach to music can be attributed to a combination of early influences, from Rosemary Clooney, Julie Andrews, Dusty Springfield and Joni Mitchell to the Beatles, CSNY & the Moody Blues. Now, Rändi establishes her niche in the contemporary music scene fusing the colorful intimacy of these nostalgic artists and the richness of her jazz background with the intense sonic spectrum of symphonic- electronica. Rändi’s poetic lyrics, dynamic melodies and transcendent vocals captivate listeners, going beyond simply connecting, but also healing and inspiring others through the power of her songs.
In 2001, an injury forced Rändi into early retirement from her career as a veterinarian. Fast forward to 2010 when she took the chance on a music career as a solo artist, discovering that writing and performing music provided an outlet for her to further pursue her love of healing. She attributes her success in this second career to values she learned as a veterinarian: “perseverance, professionalism, sacrifice and a lot of unconditional love.” She is dedicated to writing her own music at the highest level, recently receiving her Master’s Certificate in Songwriting through the Berklee College of Music’s online extension.
“I have discovered that the more others push against me, the more I become determined to make it happen. And the more I appreciate each experience for its lesson, each opportunity for the possibilities, and the support and understanding of those close to me.”
Rändi’s music is ethereal and intimate, and she works to reach her listeners through her hashtag #connectingworlds. Her compassion, empathy and relatability shine in her music.
While writing her 2017 album, “Chrysalis,” Fay experimented with a multitude of genres, working with producer Aaron Zinsmeister of White Raven Audio to refine her “symphonic-electronica” sound while intensifying the passion behind her lyrics. Fay returned to the studio to to record her two 2018 singles, “Supernatural” and "Joy Whispered." These songs prelude her upcoming concept album “Intuition,” a massive undertaking co-written with Aaron Zinsmeister, to be released in 2019.
A big believer in collaboration, Fay has also worked with songwriters around the world; one of her recent projects include co-writing with artist/bassist Dmitry Zaystev in Moscow for the band Rythmystica. She continues to educate herself, being certified in the BAST method of teaching voice and working with Shane Adams of Artist Accelerator in Nashville to further hone her songwriting chops.
Outside of music, Fay channels her passion into her outdoor hobbies, reading, learning photography and spending time with her family and pets. She is also an advocate for Leukemia Awareness and Support, Mental Wellness, Prevention of Domestic Violence and Abuse, and Animal Welfare.
