2018
Release of "Supernatural" song and video (August 2018) and "Joy Whispered" song and video (November 2018). "Moonlight" was designated a finalist in the 2018 UK Songwriting Competition, along with “Supernatural," “Evergreen” and "Pheromone" being semifinalists. Rändi earned her fourth nomination as Jazz Artist of the Year by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry.
2015-17:
Highlights of these years include Wisconsin Area Music Industry nominations for "Jazz Artist of the Year" (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018) and "Female Vocalist of the Year" (2015). Rändi became a student of songwriting, through the Berklee Online/Berklee College of Music. and expanded her collaborative writing relationships, working with songwriters across the US, Canada and Europe. Rändi added sought-after percussionist James LeFevre and guitarist Scott Dercks to her performing fold, bringing their creative rhythmic flavor to performances. Rändi has also teamed up with esteemed producer and co-writer Aaron Zinsmeister of White Raven Audio in an extensive, expansive recording journey that includes contemporary, ventures into pop, rock, new age, R&B and more. Single releases, “Sleep, Baby, Sleep (arr. Robert Casady),” “Love Is,” “He Said,” “Little Babe” (2016) and “Winter Wind” (2017) have received international airplay, setting the momentum for the release of the CD "Chrysalis" in July, 2017, the single "Moonlight" in October, 2017 and the holiday EP "Evergreen" in November 2017.
2013-14:
These years saw a new development in Rändi's career: writing and performing original music. Solo and collaborative compositions by Rändi and bassist Mick Maloney have become a regular part of their performances. Rändi’s fourth CD, "Falling" (June, 2014,) is her first all-original offering, bringing in the musical crafting of established talents Bob Balsley, Greg Pagel, Hans Christian, Bob Levy, Kevin Crocker and Kurt Risch. Recorded at Rock Garden Studio in Appleton, WI and co-produced with Marc Golde, "Falling" is a credited venture into her hallmark Lyrical Jazz, further developing Rändi's unique niche in the popular music scene.
2010-12:
Rändi began her solo career with pianist John Contratto in the jazz duo "Rhapsody." In 2011, she established her jazz/blues ensemble "Limited Edition,” drawing from many of Wisconsin's finest jazz musicians and named for the unique chemistry “seasoned jazzers” bring to a show. Event technology specialist Sonic MD has been an integral part of her show since the beginning, keeping the performance seamless.
Rändi's recording experience includes co-producing three CD's with multi-instrumentalist Hans Christian at Studio 330 in Sturgeon Bay, WI. “Close to My Heart; Love Songs and Lullabies” was released in November 2010, and "Noël" in October 2011. These two projects are the result of rich collaborations with musicians Hans, George Sawyn and Woody Mankowski on both, and Tom Smith and John Contratto on the first. In June, 2012, she released her third CD: "That Old Black Magic." This project features jazz greats Chris Salerno, John Gibson and Danny Lueck, along with Hans and Woody, playing fresh jazz arrangements of beloved standards.
2005-10:
Rändi first shifted her career focus to performing and producing music. She began to sing with with many fine ensembles in northeastern Wisconsin, including the Emerald Heart Quartet, the Dudley Birder Chorale, the Symphony Chorale/Green Bay Choral Artists, Regency Singers, Steppin’ Out, Broadway Mania, Project Pink, Daddy D Productions, the Allouez Village Band and the Big Band Reunion.
